A very nice job of completing the assignment. I enjoyed reading it. I especially liked the last couple of sentences in Adam's paragraph. I know his last prediction came true because he just told me he already finished reading the book! (: Megan Morris

4." There's a wasp crawling up your arm. No-- keep quite still." In the poem one of the boys gets stung by a wasp. Paragraph
1. Our group picked these examples of suspense and foreshadowing because we thought they were great examples from the book. These examples all carried out the definitions as close as they could. When we read the suspense examples, we wanted to keep reading just so we could find out what happened. In the examples of foreshadowing, we each gave our opinions to what would happen and contrasted them with each other. We will have to pay more attention to the clues in the book in the future. After I read the first few chapters I can tell I am going to love this book.
Adam- I hope you continue to enjoy the book; I haven't met an 8th grader yet who has not loved it! Sounds like your group is discussing well - it's good to listen to different ideas and draw conclusions. Let's see if your predictions pan out! Good work. Mrs. M 12-9-11
